Clowning Around at PS 346’s Annual Carnival

On June 14th, PS 346 ended the school year with their annual carnival, featuring a colorful display of face painting booths and dozens of bouncy castles stretching across the entire playground. The scorching heat did not put a damper on the festivities; students kicked off their sneakers and took turns participating in the various activities such as tossing footballs and basketballs into hoops, kicking soccer balls through inflatable holes, and so much more.

Throughout the day, teachers took turns escorting their classes to the playground. As the children stepped out into the school yard, their eyes lit up in excitement upon seeing all of the activities. Many of them could be seen standing on their tip toes to get a good view of all the carnival had to offer. While some students ran around the playground enjoying the activities, others danced to the booming beats spun by DJ Big Man.

There was no shortage of fun at the carnival; staff members donned clown costumes while others manned booths distributing popcorn, delicious grilled burgers, hot-dogs, snacks and cold water. For many of the students at PS 346, the carnival marked the start of summer fun.
