Front vs. Back Hoops It Up

It’s that time of the year again to lace up those sneakers and find your position on the court for the 12th Annual Front vs. Back Games. The weather was warm and the sun was shining while Spring Creek Towers’ (SCT) residents were ready to claim their title as the champs of the Front vs. Back games.

These residents were ready to play and couldn’t wait to get on the court as they lined up to pick up their t-shirts and then proceeded to the court. The Front vs. Back games have four different levels for the players which include; Biddles (elementary school age players), junior high school, high school and Unlimited (adults).

Upon entering the court the players were allowed time to practice and they didn’t waste that time. They were working with their coaches and weren’t playing as a game they were taking these games very seriously.

Zion Evans, who is only 13 years old, was the MVP Player of the Biddies division. This is the second year that Evans has participated in the Front vs. Back games. “ I enjoy playing in the Front vs. Back games because it is a lot of fun and I enjoy the competition. This is my second year and I feel that I got much better this year and that is why I was chosen as the Biddies MVP Player,” said Evans.

Rolando Henry, was one of the SCT residents who came out on this beautiful sunny day to relax and watch the 12th Annual Front vs. Back games. “I have been here before to watch the Front vs. Back games. I think it is very nice and everyone is doing the right thing and Mother Nature cooperated to allow the sun to shine out today,” said Henry.
