“I am a ‘Certified G’ and a bonafide stud and you can’t teach that. Bada Boom, realest guy in the room. How you doin,” Enzo, a former WWE entertainer shouted inside of the East Coast Pro Wrestling (ECPW) ring, which set up its battle ground in Queens to raise money for local charities on March 26th.

ECPW is an independent company that works to train grapplers, referees, and other careers in the wrestling entertainment. Since 1991, the organization has helped cultivate professionals who have gone on to perform in WWE, WCW, ECW and TNA.

Last month, ECPW set up its ring in Elmhurst’s Brooklyn Queensborough Elks Lodge for New Yorkers to enjoy several family-friendly wrestling matches. According to show runners, a portion of the proceeds earned at the event were donated to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

In addition to the hard-hitting matches, former WWE superstar Enzo made an in-ring appearance for fans and even set up a meet-and-greet booth to sign autographs and pose for photos.
