Multi-media company DIVE Studios returns to the Samsung Galaxy Experience Space in Herald Square to provide free K-Pop meet and greets this month.

Hundreds of fans have been bearing the cold on Saturdays for an opportunity to meet their favorite K-Pop stars thanks to DIVE Studios as they help promote Korean culture and Samsung’s latest products at 50 West 34th Street.

The entertainment company, known for its mental health platform Mindset and promoting Asian artists, began hosting events on January 20th with Peniel of BTOB and BM of KARD as well as an invitation for an exclusive launch party at Samsung 837 where fans were able to party with the likes of Jaden and Willow Smith, as well as Peniel and BM.

On January 27th, the space hosted a meet and greet with singer AleXa, who will be kicking off her tour “Sick of You Part 1” at the Music Hall of Williamsburg on March 29th, and Nancy, an actress, television personality, and singer with South Korean girl group Momoland.

Additionally, during each event, the first 100 guests are able to experience a fireside conversation with DIVE Studios CEO Brian Nam and the K-Pop guests.

Since the efforts combine K-Pop and promotes Samsung tech, Nam begins each of his segments with his guests discussing what the artists like about the products. One of the benefits both BM and Peniel shared was a live texting translation feature, which can detect whatever language is being text and provide casual, slang, or professional translations of your responses.

“My Korean is so bad, so when I talk to my parents this is a feature that I need,” Nam said, which AleXa, who was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, nodded in agreement since it is also not her native language.

“I think my parents really need this because I’m always the in between person for my parents. I’m the translator of the family,” Nancy added.

The meet and greet experiences are free for guests who register on Eventbrite, and they are able to watch the artists test out Samsung’s devices as well as vie for an autograph and selfie. There are also group photos that will be sent via email.

The next meet and greet saw Tiffany of Girls Generation sign autographs for over 200 fans. While due to security issues, fans were not able to directly get their autographs from Tiffany they still were able to see the singer from afar as she explored the Samsung store.

The last event will be held on February 7th with Mark Tuan from GOT7.
