Spring Creek After School Program Students Create their Own Stickers

By: Pamela Stern

Ms. Jackie’s 4th and 5th graders in the Spring Creek After School program had Mr. Ruddy, a guest artist, visit with them on May 30th. The students were assigned a project where they were able to design their very own customized stickers.

This assignment allowed the children to engage in an activity where they were able to think outside of the box and use their own creativity. This permitted the students the opportunity to showcase their own personality and interests onto sheets of paper, which would eventually develop into stickers.

Mr. Ruddy passed out sticker paper to all of the students and instructed them to draw a character/things that represent who they are, this will turn into their very own sticker creation. They used color pencils and markers to finalize their work and to add color. The students then handed them to Mr. Ruddy, and he would place a clear sticky sheet over the drawings, so he can cut them out. Once they were cut out, the students had their very own stickers they created.
