New York Comic Con (NYCC) is one of the most anticipated pop-culture conventions where fans can experience exclusive anime, manga, entertainment, and video game content all in one place. Exhibitors from around the nation lugged their precious cargo, providing limited edition video games, retro counsels, modified controllers and more. But one of the best parts of the convention is the fans, who come dressed as their favorite characters. Spring Creek Sun cultivated a list of the best video game cosplayers.
Silent Hill 2 made a powerful return to gaming consoles last month with a revamped iteration of the 2001 classic. Some fans dressed as James, the protagonist who lands in the ghost town of Silent Hill while trying to uncover the mystery behind his wife’s death. Others lurked around the convention floor as demonic nurses and the fearsome monster, Pyramid head.
In September Star Wars Outlaws became the first-ever open world game in the franchise, and fans were ready to put on their jedi uniforms, light sabers, blasters, and other outfits from a galaxy far, far away. Star Wars Outlaws is set between Empire Strikes Back and the Return of the Jedi, gamers dressed Kay Vess and her companion, Nix, who in the newest outing trying to seek a new life by out witting their way through the galaxy’s crime lords.
There was also the perfect blend between anime/manga and video game costumes—many of which have given way to epic fighting series such as Dragon Ball Fighter Z, Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash and others.
