Like a moth to the flame, Diablo 4 will draw gamers into its alluring fires and trap them with its addictive gameplay and need for “one more game.”
Diablo 4 is a dungeon crawling Role Playing Game (RPG) that lets players choose from one of five classes: the barbarian, rogue, sorcerer, necromancer (a fan favorite), and druid, each with their own unique abilities and skillset. With a hero chosen, you are thrown into a deep world filled with lore and many, many quests to uncover.
GamePlay
Diablo 4 lives in an always online world, meaning that prospective buyers will need a stable online connection in order to play the game, a downside for many. However, this always means that you will see hundreds of other players meandering around the landscape going about their business as you go about yours. While leveling up and showing-off your character is a desired game component, the most addictive element comes into your search for loot.
There are two modes to choose from when playing Diablo 4, regular mode where you complete the story and hardcore mode where, while you can still complete the story and you retrieve rarer items, but your character can perish at any time and cannot be revived.
Story
Two nefarious characters, Inarius and Lilith stole the Worldstone and formed a hybrid sanctuary called Nephalem in an attempt to seek refuge from the never-ending battle between High Heaven and the Burning Hells. To protect her hybrid offspring, Lilith committed a violent act, and in doing so caused Inarius to betray her banishing Lilith to a dark abyss—but now she is back, angry and full of vengeance ready to usher in an age of misery.
Conclusion
Those who are fans of RPGs, like Dark Souls, would enjoy the hardcore mode found in Diablo 4, while for others the risk of having a character they built for hours on end die and never return may seem a little extreme, for some this is an exciting feat. This latest iteration of Diablo 4 is sure to keep gamers busy for hours on end, especially with the ability to battle friends online or team up on missions. Diablo 4 will also be realizing Season of the Malignant on July 20th showcasing a new form of Lilith’s corporation, destruction and mayhem.
