ATEEZ fans around the globe clamored to stores for K-Pop pirate kings, ATEEZ’s latest album release on November 15th.
Fans, affectionately known as ATINY, made sure to—as band member Mingi says, “Fix on”—the groups release of Golden Hour Part 2 to solidify the group’s standing as No. 1 on Billboard Top 200 albums. In order to commemorate this occasion, Hello82, a music distribution and marketing company, hosted pop-ups across the world from November 15th to November 17th.
For those who reside in New York, the closest pop-up was held at Barnes and Nobles Union Square where fans had an opportunity to not only purchase the new albums, but also signed editions along with limited clothing merchandise.
The bookstore’s fourth floor event space was transformed into an ATEEZ extravaganza, featuring wall to wall photographs of band members: Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung and Jongho.
The group debut in 2018, and since then they have dominated the stage with breathtaking performances and songs that evoke so much joy and power.
Fans have shared that they fell in love with ATEEZ thanks to their phenomenal music videos showcasing a sense of creativity and style unlike any other. For some, like Kia it’s not just about the music, but their ability to be a source of comfort when she needs it most.
“I’m Kia, ATEEZ means everything to me. I live out here by myself and I don’t have any family out here, so ATEEZ is my comfort and I’ve loved them for a long time. This comeback is so good, and I say that every time, but they really keep outdoing themselves and I am so proud of them,” Kia told the Spring Creek Sun.
On Nov. 24, Billboard announced that ATEEZ’s Golden Hour Part 2 earned the coveted No. 1 spot on their top 200 chart. With over 184,000 units, ATEEZ became the top selling album during release week and the sixth largest sales in 2024 for any title.
