While New York City did not exactly experience a white Christmas since there was no snow over the holiday that did not mean that Spring Creek Towers (SCT) did not create their own winter wonderland to commemorate the festivities.
Every year residents work together to decorate their lobbies to reflect the upcoming holidays Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa with wrapping paper designs on the walls, Santa Claus statues, dreidels, and electronic candles.
As the SCT community worked together to adorn their lobbies with bright decorations, The Opportunity Hub were the Santa elves that brought good tidings and cheer to those who needed it the most. From hosting food and coat distributions, to holding a day of Holiday Photoshoots for families to embrace winter memories together with a professional photographer and studio set up at The Opportunity Hub’s office in C3.
In addition, the non-profit organization also hand delivered gifts to families in SCT, putting smiles on children’s faces and bringing warmth to everyone.
The Young Adult Program and Teen Central also held a host of fun holiday activities for their members to celebrate the season of joy with friends.
