Members of the JASA Starrett Senior Center gathered on Nov. 22nd for a delicious Thanksgiving lunch, which included turkey legs and all of the tasty trimmings. For many of the older adults participating in the program, this holiday season they shared their appreciation for the numerous activities at the facility, such as jewelry making, to help keep their hands and minds busy.
“I enjoy the socialization, not just the availability of the different classes, but also the information they have for the elderly like diabetes, blood pressure, and other things,” Valerie Washington said, “The people here in Spring Creek and the staff here in JASA are all fantastic, they are engaging. They encourage you in all aspects to stimulate your mind and to be independent.”
