LE SSERAFIM took New York City by storm ahead of their groundbreaking VMAs performance last week.

These queens of K-Pop have catapulted their way to fame since their debut in 2022 with their girl-power style, and from September 9th and September 10th they paved their way through New York City through a series of events celebrating their fourth mini album, CRAZY.

First the girl group consisting of Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, and Hong Eunchae gathered at the Barnes and Nobel Fifth Avenue for an intimate fan signing and meet and greet for their comeback album.  With bright smiles on their faces, the young women waved eagerly at fans, affectionately known as FEARNOT, many of whom clung to their new albums with pure joy as they got ready to meet their idols.

After their signing, the performers then stopped by NBA’s headquarters where they donned basketball jersey’s and showed off some of their new dance moves found in their newmmusic video for the title song CRAZY, embodying LE SSERAFIM’s quirkiness through glamorous voguing amongst a chaotic atmosphere, underscoring the importance of spontaneity.

The Billboard-charting artists are truly fearless, an anagram for LE SSERAFIM, as they traveled to the 86th floor of the Empire State building to light up the iconic staple in “fearless blue” for Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Whether it was hitting the streets of New York or the VMA stage, LE SSERAFIM took a bite out of big apple and it tasted like sweet success for fans who were able to briefly meet the K-Pop all-stars.

Longtime fan, Cereza, shared with the Spring Creek Sun that she felt a kinship with the group by embracing her eccentricates—something LE SSERAFIM often showcases in their music videos.

“Fearless was all about loving yourself and feeling brave and fighting against social stereotypes and stuff. That group has brought me a lot of self-confidence. They helped me realize everything will be okay and your beautiful no matter what,” Cereza, 17, said.

Brooklynite Tania Vasquez nodded in agreement, adding that LE SSERAFIM showcased that it’s okay to be yourself, something that they embody on and off the camera.

“They have their own unique style, and so versatile,” Vasquez said. “CRAZY is my favorite song because it captures everything about them and us as the fandom…They’re not afraid to be themselves on camera and off camera.”
