Spring Creek Towers’ former Public Safety Director Vincent A. DeMarino was one of 28 New York City officers inducted into the Hall of Heroes on November 15th. The salute, held at One Police Plaza, was dedicated to the men and women who passed away from 9/11 related illnesses and are now among 290 officers who perished after the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center (including 23 members who died in the line of duty responding to this tragedy).
Deputy Chief Deputy Chief of Counterterrorism for the Transit Bureau of NYPD and was formerly the CO of Transit District 1 (he worked 27 years with the NYPD). He passed away on December 6, 2019.
“Vinny was a dedicated, professional law enforcement officer and a proud family man. His dedication and influence is certainly reflected in all of his four children carrying on as police officers themselves. A life lost too soon,” said John Cornicello, formerly the Deputy Director for the Department of Public Safety.
