Ready Player One?
Dozens of young adults were ready to put the pedal to the for the second annual End of the Line Gaming Tournament, which provided an evening of free, fun, and inclusive gaming on January 25th in the Brooklyn Sports Club (BSC).
The lower level of the BSC was transformed into a Dave and Buster-esque environment with each of Teen Central’s rooms lit with neon LED lights and equipped with dozens of video game consoles and monitor screens. The return of this beloved gaming tournament, a project developed by the Young Adult Program and the Opportunity Hub, ramped up locals in Spring Creek Towers to join in on an evening of socializing, free food, and giveaways.

Program Director, Teen and Young Adult Programs Eileen Level told the Spring Creek Sun that the event was created to reach out and provide positive engagement with young adults ages 18 to 26.
“It was a free and inclusive gaming experience in an effort to promote alternative opportunities to engage in interactive events that build positive community bonds in East New York and adjacent communities for predominately POC youth,” Level said.
