On July 19th, Spring Creek Senior Partners (SCSP) held a health fair from 10am to 12 noon in their office for their members. Thirteen SCSP members enjoyed seeing the different health organizations all in one place where they could gather information and ask any questions on many different aspects of health.
SCSP provided breakfast for all attendees. The light breakfast allowed everyone to have some coffee, juice, bagels, and pastries.
The health partners for this event were: New York City Health & Hospital Corporation, One Brooklyn Health, MetroPlus Health, NHS Brooklyn, and HealthCare Choices NY Inc.
The health care organizations provided brochures, free dental cleaning kits, coupons for low-cost dental services, as well as vital signs screenings, they also facilitated Naloxone training, and provided free NARCAN kits after completion of the training.
Attendees were able to have their blood pressure, oxygen levels, pulse, and temperature all checked for free.
Attendees were able to receive some complementary items from the health care partners such as; reusable bags, pens, stickers, and buttons with the health care partners’ logos on them.
SCSP Director, Jahiah Wilson said, “Being healthy and fit isn’t a fad or a trend it’s a lifestyle.”
SCSP will be hosting another health fair in October 2023.
