The aroma of sweet potatoes, stuffing, and turkey emanated from the Starrett Early Learning Center’s (SELC) kitchen on November 22nd, as the master chefs prepared a delightful feast for the staff and students. The school’s Annual Friendsgiving is a much-anticipated tradition where everyone sits together to eat an early Thanksgiving lunch, and take turns sharing what they are grateful for.
While some of the teachers like Ms. Kimaura expressed her gratitude for her co-workers and students, others underscored their appreciation for being alive and the ability to appreciate another thanksgiving with friends.
Many of the students shared their appreciation for their families, especially their mother’s who have always shown them love and kindness.
