Students at the Starrett Early Learning Center (SELC) had a “gobble, gobble” time on November 22nd during their Annual Friendsgiving event.
To make the festive celebration more seamless, SELC hosted their extravaganza virtually on Zoom so that classes in 125 Shroeders Avenue and 1325 Pennsylvania Avenue could sing, recite poems and individually share what they are most thankful for, allowing numerous family and friends to watch from home.
“What are you thankful for,” the children shouted to which many responded, “my mommy and daddy.” Others added that they were grateful for their friends and their toys.
The event culminated with the students telling everyone on Zoom, “Happy Friendsgiving.”
