Throughout the month of March, Sisters With Purpose (SWP) have invited Spring Creek Towers’ residents to take home a free hot meal during their food pantry distributions.
On March 16th, SWP hosted a special pop-up dinner giveaway in the lower level of the Brooklyn Sports Club (BSC), thanks to their partnership with Fusion East Caribbean and Soul Food Restaurant.
As a part of a Food Bank grant that Fusion East Caribbean and Soul Food Restaurant received, SWP is one of many pantry programs who have partnered with the eatery to give out meals for those in need in the community.
“A lot of people are struggling with food, food is a huge insecurity now. The prepared meals are easier for people, especially for the elderly that can’t cook because they are not able to. So, the prepared meals are something you can just eat right away,” Susie Williams said, the Founder & President of Sisters With Purpose.
