Spring into a New Season of Gaming

Spring is just around the corner—officially starting on March 20th— and as the flowers bloom so are a new stock of video games hitting shelves.  The Spring Creek Sun has compiled a list of much anticipated gaming titles to come in the next few months.

Game: WWE 2K23

The latest iteration of WWE is set to hit stores next week and boasts fully loaded features, such as WarGames, MyGM, MyFaction, Showcase and so much more.  Gracing this year’s 2K23 cover is the legendary, 16-time World Champion, John Cena, who is among a variety of playable characters from the WWE Universe’s roaster.

Game: Resident Evil 4 Remake

Rating: M for Mature

Resident Evil is once again experiencing a remake, this time the makeover will be from the fourth iteration which was originally released in 2005.  The tale follows Leon S. Kennedy six years after a virus infected the inhabitants of Raccoon City. As one of the survivors, Kennedy has been recruited to  rescue the President of the United States’ daughter after she was kidnapped and taken to a secluded European Village. Similar to the biological disaster in Raccoon City, the inhabitants of this village have been infected and Kennedy must battle through the macabre trenches to recuse her.

Continuing with Cal Kestis’ journey in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor as he battles against the Empire’s darkness and attempts to fulfill the work from the Jedi Order.  Kestis will explore new planets and staples from the Star Wars universe as he must choose what he is willing to do to save those  closest to him. Similar to Star War Jedi: Fallen Order, Kestis is able to master new skills, equipment and abilities.

Game: Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

Rating: M for Mature

From the makers of Batman the Arkham Series this third-person action adventure game gives players the opportunity to play as the infamous anti-heroes from the Suicide Square: The unstable clown Harley Quinn voiced by Tara Strong, the witty Australia assassin Captain Boomerang played by Daniel Lapaine, the killer marksman Deadshot voiced by Bumper Robinson, and demigod King Shark voiced by Samoa Joe (also known as Nuufola Joel Sanoa). Characters are customizable in regard to their outfits, gear,  weapons and the game allows for online co-op (up to four players and allows cross-platform play).
