“In your easter bonnet, with all the frills upon it, you’ll be the grandest lady in the Easter parade!” Like the infamous 1933 song written by Irving Berlin, the Easter Parade and Bonnet Festival returned to New York City in full bloom after being canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hundreds upon hundreds of spectators and participants lined the streets of Fifth Avenue just outside of St. Patrick’s Cathedral donning some of the most fashionable, extravagant, and ostentatious hats. From beautiful flowers with Easter egg covered headwear to a gigantic Cinderella themed hat, Fifth Avenue was a sight to behold.
