The New Exercise Craze-Pickleball!

Now that summer is officially here, people are more inclined to get into shape and get out and are moving more. The Brooklyn Sports Club (BSC) is on top of all of your health needs and that includes implementing new and innovative classes to not only keep you healthy but allow you to have fun too! Keeping up with the new trends in health, the BSC now has Pickleball classes. You may be wondering what is Pickleball so, I will give you a brief synopsis of this new healthy, fun Sport.
The BSC started offering Pickleball in January, this year. This new sport is extremely popular worldwide. Pickleball is offered at the BSC twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 12pm. Pickleball is included with membership at the BSC and members are allowed to bring guests with them to play Pickleball, however the guests will pay a fee of $20 per day and can use the amenities of the BSC. Anyone who would like to participate in Pickleball or any of the other offerings of the BSC can pay a fee of $20 per day and have usage of the facilities’ amenities.

How does Pickleball differ from other sports?

Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong using a paddle and plastic ball with holes that looks like a whiffle ball. It is a game that is appropriate for players of all ages and skill levels. Rules for pickleball are simple, making it a great introductory sport. It can also be quite the challenging, fast-paced, and competitive game when people become more experienced playing it. It is played on a 20W X 44L court. Players hit the ball over a 36-inch-high net back and forth to each other. When a player misses a ball, the other team scores; the game is played until. 11 points. The game score starts with the second server. For example, ZERO, ZERO, TWO.

Overall, Pickleball is a unique and exciting sport that stands out from other racket sports like; tennis and badminton. Its played on a smaller court size, with unique equipment and scoring system that create a fast-paced and intense game that is fun for players of all levels. The equipment that is used for pickleball is: pickleball paddles, pickleball balls. A net and maybe some tape

Pickleball is a full-body sport, which works all of your major muscle groups, although it primarily targets your lower body. It’s also a great activity for honing your balance and mobility.

There has been quite a lot of interest in Pickleball.
Attendees love playing pickleball that they have a routine:
EAT.
SLEEP.
PICKLEBALL .
REPEAT.
