While the temperatures are starting to drop, The Opportunity Hub is here to help you and your family keep warm! The Opportunity Hub held a successful Winter Coat Giveaway on Monday, January 8th where fifty coats were distributed on a first come first serve basis from 3-5pm at The Opportunity Hub’s office located at 1234 Pennsylvania Avenue.
There were a mixture of toddler, women, and men’s coats that were distributed. The coats came from a donation that was provided by NY Cares.
“I am glad the community members were able to benefit from our coat drive. If given the opportunity, this would be a great event to have yearly,” said Nasima Abdulalim, Senior Director of Wellbeing of The Opportunity Hub.
