Trick or Treat: Halloween Glow Skate Party
On October 31st, our young community members are invited to our Trick or Treat: Halloween Glow Skate Party in the Brooklyn Sports Club gymnasium! The event will run from 6 PM to 7 PM for ages 5-11 and from 7 PM to 8 PM for ages 12-17. It’s the perfect way to celebrate Halloween with music, lights, roller skating, and festive fun. Whether they’re regulars or new to Teen Central, we’re excited to welcome the youth from the neighborhood to a safe, high-energy event made just for them.

Join us on Saturday, October 18th, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Brooklyn Sports Club (1540 Van Siclen Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11239) for The Opportunity Hub’s Community Resource Fair, a free event dedicated to connecting residents with essential resources and support. From food assistance and housing services to health screenings and legal aid, you’ll find a wide range of programs aimed at building stability and empowering our community. Enjoy on-site sign-ups, helpful resources, and organizational swag, or simply take part in a positive, supportive community event. It's the perfect way to get connected and take action this fall.
Cover Crop Workshop
On Thursday, October 9th at 10:00 AM, join us in person at the Spring Creek Towers Farm for the Cover Crop Workshop, hosted by The Opportunity Hub in partnership with New York Restoration Project (NYRP). This hands-on workshop will explore what cover crops are, why they matter, and how to incorporate them into your own garden to enrich soil and support sustainable growing practices. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just getting started, you’ll gain practical tools and knowledge to help your green space thrive. The event will be held behind 1430 Freeport Loop.
