Four members of the Starrett Judo Club participated in the US Open at the Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. All four members fought hard, Kelsey Billups brought home a silver medal, and Cayen Altidor received a gold medal.
After the US Open concluded, there was a US Open Training Camp that was being held in Fort Lauderdale, for a week and all four members of the Starrett Judo Club attended this. In this training camp all of the Judokas train together, a few of the coaches run this training and this is where the students are able to learn and have an interchange of techniques between the students and where they will be able to have more practice.
