The Roots Picnic Came Back This Year In Full Effect
After undergoing heavy scrutiny last year due to logistical disorganization, The Roots Picnic revived its reputation for being one of the most enjoyable music festivals for Hip-Hop and R&B enthusiasts alike.

Held at the legendary Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia, some of the artists to perform this year included T.I., Kehlani, Destin Conrad, KWN, Wale, Black Thought, Brandy, Erykah Badu and Brooklyn’s very own Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter.
The official sponsors included Toyota, HarbourView, D’USSE, Credit One Bank, Philly Free Library (Emerson Collective) and more. This year’s sponsors weren’t just buying ad space, they were investing in cultural experiences, on-site networking opportunities and community engagement that align with the festival’s identity as a celebration of Black music, business and creativity.

The festival also featured a variety of immersive activations that allowed attendees to engage with brands beyond traditional marketing. From interactive lounges and photo opportunities to curated hospitality spaces and community-focused programming, sponsors helped create experiences that enhanced the overall atmosphere while giving festivalgoers opportunities to connect, network and unwind between performances.

Beyond the music, the Roots Picnic continued to distinguish itself as a cultural gathering that celebrates the intersection of entertainment, entrepreneurship and community. Whether attendees came for the performances, the networking opportunities or simply the chance to connect with like-minded people, the weekend offered something for everyone. The successful execution of this year’s event reaffirmed why Roots Picnic remains one of the premier festivals celebrating Black culture in the United States.
