As we welcome the new year, let’s remember the importance of giving throughout the year. Recently, the Brooklyn Sports Club (BSC) hosted its first toy giveaway in partnership with Wholesome Family Network, Inc.
Founded in 2021, Wholesome Family Network, Inc. is dedicated to creating positive changes by supporting, empowering, and fostering progress within the community. With a diverse staff offering a wide range of life experiences, this organization demonstrates that individuals can achieve a good quality of life when they receive the right support.
President and Senior Project Manager Sharon Gritten told the Spring Creek Sun, “It’s an amazing feeling being here at BSC seeing all the gifts laid out after all the hard work is done. Elation is the best word to describe the feeling.” Between five and six hundred toys and shoes were distributed to the community. Various organizations provided donations, and the Wholesome Family Network stepped in to fill the gaps for unfulfilled goals.
There were treats like popcorn, hot dogs, cakes, juices, and hot cocoa, and a special guest who spread an appetite for joy: Councilman for the 42nd district Chris Banks. Banks praised the BSC, Wholesome Family Network, and the participants for their support of the community stating “This is what the holidays are about: making it bigger, brighter, and better.”
