Driving the kids to school, daycare, extracurricular activities, or even running errands can be strenuous tasks, especially in a cramped vehicle but, what if there are cars specifically geared towards making family life easier?
During the New York International Auto Show press previews, Hyundai unveiled a redesigned version of the 2023 Palisade a vehicle that is deemed as the pinnacle of the SUV family.
“Family is what this vehicle is about,” Olabisi Boyle, VP of Product and Mobility at Hyundai Motors said during the unveiling on April 13th.
Earning top safety awards, the Palisade has several state-of-the-art upgrades such as
OLED and wide grille signals, LED daytime running lights and LED rear lights, and in the Luxury Palisade Calligraphy it contains 20-inch turbine look alloy wheels, Napa leather drivers, Ergo motion seat, a second row without headrests and high tech features like a digital key, full display rearview mirror, remote Smart Park Assist and more.
To help showcase how this SUV is geared toward families, Boyle introduced social media star, podcaster, and columnist, Danielle Schafer, a New York City mom who moved to California with her husband and children. Schafer has four children ranging from a car seat age to a student teenager driver, and she shared her experiences with the Hyundai Palisade.
“What struck me is it’s tough yet chic,” Schafer said, adding, “The reality is family life isn’t all about fun and road trips. So much of my drive time involves taking my kids to activities, errands, and shopping for six. An SUV like this makes it all good.”
With the inclusion of screens, USB charging ports, and the ability to connect playlists via Bluetooth, Schafer says this SUV meets the tech and entertainment needs of her children.
In addition, the in-car Wi-Fi allows for Schafer to keep up with work while waiting outside for her children to finish their extracurricular activities. Schafer also lauded the vehicle for its handsfree lift gate and power folding seats, allowing her to wrangle groceries and heavy items with ease in the rear of her vehicle.
The final approval for this car was its tech safety measures to monitor her teenager as he learns to drive on his own. The Palisade sends out speed, curfew and distance alerts to see if her son is driving too fast, is trying to use the car too late, or too far from home.
