It’s summertime and game developers are releasing exciting, fresh adventures that come along with the start of vacation time! The Spring Creek Sun has cultivated a list of what games to look out for over the next two months.
Game: Stray

We’ve all seen a stray cat darting through the streets into bushes, and there is always that lingering thought is how they are surviving? Stray follows a cat surviving through the world of Cyberpunk in a third-person adventure, where you must traverse through cybercity. It’s not just about roaming the murky streets, you must defend yourself against threats, solve mysteries, and with the added bonus of annoying the inhabitants of this dystopian world.
Game: Xenoblade Chronicles 3
Platform: Nintendo Switch
Rating: T for Teen

The third iteration of the Xenoblade series is almost upon us! In this RPG combat game, you join Noah and Mio as they traverse through Aionios, where two warring nations, Keeves and Agnus battle it out—but this is no simple war. Fighters who perish on the field have their soul flames sucked away to feed their foe’s Flame clock, and either side must make sure their clock keeps kicking. They must “fight to live, live to fight.”

Enter a dark, quirky world where zealous religious beliefs are utilized to control and dominate others. The Cult of the Lamb takes religious extremism and showcases it’s use to manipulate other’s sense of morality, except utilizing talking animals to use a combination of love, fear, and violence as rationale for the religious fundamentalists. This work of fiction is not for the faint of heart and is a spooky animation.

This reboot is one of the most anticipated games hitting shelves this summer. The first iteration of this series was released in 2006, and is an action-adventure, open world game following a street gang as they complete missions, commit a multitude of crimes very much like the Grand Theft Auto series. The reboot is said to have new characters, settings and a wider range of customizations.
