Israel at 75: Renewing the Hope

By: Pamela Stern

On Sunday, June 4th blue and white flags with a Jewish star on them were flying high as marchers, floats, and bands took part in the 75th Israeli Parade down 5th Avenue from 57th Street to 75th Street from 11am to 4pm in New York City.

This year’s  theme of the parade was Israel at 75; Renewing the Hope. This milestone parade was family friendly and featured a variety of kosher food vendors, Jewish and Israeli crafts, and activities for children.

This year’s Grand Marshal was Harley Lippman, CEO of Genesis10, an IT consulting firm. Lippman does a lot of charity work. He is the sole financial proprietor of an orphanage with approximately 40 children in Cambodia for more than 17 years. He has put 19 of these children through college.

Lippman is also a regular commentator on national TV (CNBC, Fox Business, MSNBC, NTD News, OANN and others) regarding issues related to the Middle East, US politics, and the economy.
