Albright College impressed spectators in Midtown with a stunning collection featuring five of their alumni for its Spring 2024 NYFW Runway Show.

On September 9th, the nationally ranked Liberal Arts-based Fashion program at Albright College in Pennsylvania showcased top notch graduates, and one current student, whose designs bring a whole new perspective on style and grace at 3 West 51st Street and Fifth Avenue.

“At Albright College, we aim to harness the transformative power of education in order to unlock the potential of all our students. Through initiatives like our NYFW fashion show, we nurture creativity, passion, and professionalism, empowering our students and graduates to become the innovative leaders of tomorrow,” Albright College President, Jacquelyn Fetrow said.

As the lights dimmed inside of 3 West Club, a soft strings version of Coldplay’s Viva La Vida was performed live by Julliard students (violinist Tongtong Lei, cellist Vanny Hu, and viola player Lyu Zitan,) accompanied models sashaying around a ballroom lined with chairs.

The first segment included tropical floral dresses and wide-leg trousers by Freddy Diaz that paid homage to his Dominican heritage with New York City pinnace. This was followed by Susie Benitez’s contemporary sheer floral and polka dot blouses, dresses, creating an elegant yet fun 1950s-esque attire.

Jasmin Burton’s beachwear brought in the sunshine with its neon camisoles and one-piece swimsuits adorn with chiffon ruffled negligees. Nicholas Kedge’s intricate satin mini dresses with cutouts and hand-draped ruffle designs were a light and refreshing take on spring wear, Victoria Aquino’s hand-painted designs were bold and featured a trumpet-sleeve white lace wedding dress as well as a white gown with red ombre.

Zyaire Valentine, the current Albright Student, closed the show with showstopper black hologram gowns, including a ballroom style tuxedo overcoat.
