Marching through Queens for Memorial Day

BY AMANDA MOSES

The Little Neck-Douglaston Parade honored veterans for their service with their annual march starting at Jayson Avenue and Northern Boulevard on May 31st. Hundreds of spectators gathered beneath the sweltering sun with their flags in hand, ready to cheer on performers and participants as they made their way down Northern Boulevard.

Queens political leaders joined in the revelry along with New York State Governor, Kathy Hochul. Some attendees saluted while others proudly waved their flags, remembering those who’ve sacrificed their lives for our country.

The march ended in Douglaston and participants were invited to enjoy light refreshments as well as hotdogs and hamburgers.
