New York Comic Con Preview

By Amanda Moses

New York Comic Con (NYCC) will be taking place next week from October 12th to October 15th, featuring a stellar lineup of exclusive merchandise, television season renewals and premieres, a plethora of panels, and autographing and photo opportunities with entertainment guests.

In light of the ongoing Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists Union (SAG-AFTRA) strike, celebrity guests will still attend NYCC. However, if the strike is not resolved by next week, many of the films and television shows will feature producers and executives to discuss these projects. The actors involved are prohibited from promoting certain work during the strike.

There are a number of celebrity guests lined up for autograph sessions and photo ops like Marvel’s Captain America played by Chris Evans and Loki actor Tom Hiddleston, Obi-Wan Kenobi star Ewan McGregor, AEW wrestlers MJF, Britt Baker, Sting, and Mercedes Varnado with even special reunions like the Rock Horror Picture show stars Susan Sarandon and Tim Curry, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer actors James Marsters and Juliet Landau.

NYCC guests will be able to get a first look at an early screening of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season Finale followed by a Q&A with the executive producer, as well as Director Eli Roth will discussing his upcoming film Thanksgiving

Toei Animation franchises will be showcasing their fan favorite anime, Dragon Ball, One Piece and Digimon with panels, and experience booths.

Only Thursday tickets are available for purchase (unless you would like to buy resale tickets on LYTE for more money). Additionally, tickets for photo ops and autographing can be made at: https://www.newyorkcomiccon.com/en-us/buy/buy-autographs-and-photo-ops.html
