Photos: Hats off for 10th Annual Easter Hat Pageant

Last week, Assemblywoman Nikki Lucas teamed up with Congressman Hakeem Jeffries to host a joyful Brooklyn tradition, the 10th Annual Easter Hat Pageant and Luncheon, on April 2 at the Brooklyn Sports Club courtyard.

Under a charming gazebo, the borough’s most stylish seniors turned the space into a lively celebration of community and flair. Dressed in their Sunday best, they danced, laughed, and mingled to live music before taking center stage for the much-anticipated hat pageant. From bold, feathered creations to pastel masterpieces, each look told a story—part fashion show, part neighborhood reunion.

With warm remarks from Lucas and Jeffries, plus plenty of good food and even better company, the afternoon felt less like an event and more like a block party in full bloom, Brooklyn style.
