The 2025 Caribbean Music Awards Took Brooklyn by StormReal Connection

On August 29, the 2025 Caribbean Music Awards shook up the Flatbush area of Brooklyn with an unforgettable night of love, unity, and celebration of contemporary Caribbean music.

Hosted by “The Caribbean King of Comedy” Majah Hype, the event was filled with vibrant energy and authentic spirit of the Caribbean music industry.

Now its third year, the newly minted ceremony has established itself as “a platform to recognize, honor and celebrate Caribbean talent who have made significant contributions to Caribbean music and culture.”

This year’s event was brought to life through partnerships with major brands like BET and Amazon. According to organizers, the CMA “champions the growth of the Caribbean creative community, fostering unity with those who share our commitment to uplifting and empowering Caribbean talent worldwide. “

The star- studded evening featured a wide array of artists, influencers, and culture icons, including Elephant Man, Nicholas Nuvan, Kranium, Lady Lava, Swizz Beats, DJ Khaled, Bounty Killer, Shenseea, Jessie Woo, Machel Montano, among many others.

Shenseea – Female Dancehall Artist Of The Year

Valiant – Male Dancehall Artist Of The Year

Lila Iké – Female Reggae Of The Year

Romain Virgo –Male Reggae Artist Of The Year

Busta Rhymes – Elite Icon Award

Bounty Killer – Lifetime Achievement Award

In addition to the awards, the night featured electrifying performances. Highlights included a high-energy opening by Elephant Man and Ding Dong, and a soulful reggae set by Lila Ike. The 2025 Caribbean Music Awards celebrated musical excellence and reinforced the importance of Caribbean culture globally.
