Spring Creek Senior Partners’ Pre-Fall Mixer

By Amanda Moses

The crisp scent of fall has yet to present itself this autumn; however, that did not stop members of Spring Creek Senior Partners (SCSP) from celebrating the season with a Pre-Fall Resource Mixer on September 15th.

SCSP staff created the event as an opportunity to get ahead of the winter blues by shedding light on the wide variety of services available for older adults. In addition, to socializing with each other and receiving informative pamphlets, seniors enjoyed lunch together.

“The Pre-Fall Resource Mixer was an opportunity for SCSP participants to connect with each other, get information about new resources they can use to benefit them and eat a light lunch. Participants asked questions during a presentation on the programs, engaged with each other and signed up for additional activities that were related to the resources,” Robin Devonish said, NORC Supervisor for SCSP.

Spring Creek Senior Partners is a Naturally Occurring Retirement Community/Supportive Service Program (NORC/SSP) serving all residents who are 60 years or older. SCSP services are free and open to all residents of Spring Creek Towers. You can visit Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm at 160 Schroeders Ave. (G5) or call (718) 348-7620.
