Nanda Prabhakar, the Executive Director of The Opportunity Hub appeared on Roku Channel’s, The AM Show, a global morning talk show on the ULFN network, on December 17, 2024. During her conversation with host Nadine Della Pelle, Prabhakar shared insights into the Opportunity Hub’s origins, mission, and impact on the community.
The Opportunity Hub is a nonprofit organization located in Spring Creek Towers. Originally established in January 2010 as the Spring Creek Recreational Fund (SCRF), it was rebranded in August 2022 to better serve as a community hub, aiming to provide support and assistance to residents of Spring Creek Towers and our surrounding neighborhoods.
It employs 23 staff members and offers programming in five key areas: Wellbeing, Youth Development and Education, Future-Focused Growth, Spring Creek Farm/Learning Garden, and the Spring Creek Sun (a local newspaper“ The Opportunity Hub provides essential programs and services that were not previously accessible in our community. With collaboration and support from community and corporate partners, sponsors, volunteers, and community members, they seek to help our community thrive and improve quality of life Prabhakar said, “I am extremely proud of our team, our community, and our mission. Being invited to appear on The AM Show to discuss The Opportunity Hub’s work not only promotes our organization but also helps us connect with the community. Nadine made my first live TV interview both enjoyable and easy. I had a fantastic time!”
