Farewell to Spring Creek After School Program’s Ms. Alicia Reynolds

There are many people who are staples in the Spring Creek Towers’ community and Ms. Alicia Reynolds is one of them. Ms. Alicia as she is known to the children of the Spring Creek After School Program has been working there for 12 years as a Youth Development Specialist. Reynolds worked with the all of the children from kindergarten through fifth grade.

She was instrumental in working with the staff on special events and facilitating programs when needed in addition, to being a key contributor in training/coaching staff.  Reynolds assisted the Program Director with the implementation of student and parent surveys. During her twelve years Reynolds was an integral part of the Spring Creek After School program where she initiated new and creative program activities. These activities promoted and stimulated the participants. She engaged the parents regarding opportunities and expectations, while serving as a liaison with teachers and principals. Reynolds planned monthly showcases for students to showcase their work and improve student morale. Additionally, she developed and implemented a plan of classroom management and project based lesson plans

She is loved and cherished by the children and her peers.  Now Reynolds will be entering a new chapter.   “It has been an absolute pleasure to service the students, families and community of Spring Creek After School over the course of these eleven years. Throughout the years I have watched my students grow academically, socially and emotionally. I’d like to believe that each child that I have been fortunate enough to encounter has left my presence feeling loved, empowered and nurtured. I’m saddened that my time here has come to an end; however, this is not goodbye, I will always be a listening ear, a smiling face and safe place for any child who will have me,” said Reynolds.

Spring Creek After School Program Director, Jeremy Williams said, “Alicia was a trendsetter of the magic that is created here at Spring Creek Community Core (SCCC) After School. We celebrate her departure to make her start on new chapters, but she will be irreplaceable. I feel so blessed to have by far one of the Greatest To do this work that she so loves. Watching her growth and impact makes me feel so proud to have had her on our team. She loved our children has her own and demonstrated such patience with their development. She has left her mark with the SCCC Family and Community. She will be missed greatly. We at SCCC will always love Ms. Alicia.”

We want to wish Ms. Alicia farewell and good luck in her new endeavors.
