Remembering Tina Turner

On May 24th, the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Tina Turner, passed away following a long illness with kidney disease in Küsnacht, Switzerland. Known for her flamboyant flapper-style dresses and larger-than-life hair styles, Turner was a musical icon. Her songs, “Proud Mary,” “What’s Love Got to Do with It,” and other chart topper hits are just the tip of the iceberg for what fans will remember—including her role in Mad Max 3 Beyond the Thunderdome as Auntie Entity.

Born on November 26, 1939, in Brownsville, TN, Turner was the epitome of American music, leaving millions of fans to mourn her death. Brooklyn Sports Club staff member, Brenda dressed as Turner in memory of her favorite icon.
