The Starrett Judo Club is on the move! There is no stopping these judokas. Their hard work, practice, and determination shows when they compete. Three members of the Starrett Judo Club attended Pedro’s Judo Challenge in Danvers, Massachusetts on Sunday, April 3rd. This is a high level judo tournament where judokas came from all over the world to compete.
Kelsey Billups placed 1st and received a gold medal and Dominick Bonserio placed 2nd and received a silver medal. “The kids are on a course to rank among the best of the United States,” said Sensei Legros.
** Spring Creek Towers’ residents come on out on Sunday, April 10th to support the Starrett Judo Club at their “Starrett Spring Invitational Tournament” on Sunday, April 10th at 9am. There will be at least a dozen judo clubs from all over the northeast in attendance.
