A sea of green filled the streets of Fifth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan for the 263rd Annual New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 16th.

The sound of cheers and bag pipes echoed along the busy Garment District as participants marched from 44th Street and Fifth Avenue to 79th Street in what has been deemed the largest St. Patrick’s Day Parade in the world.

Outside of St. Patrick’s Cathedral Cardinal Timothy Dolan was all smiles as he waved at participants and shook hands with members of the armed forces, NYPD Commissioner Edward Caban, elected officials such as New York State Governor Kathy Hochul, Attorney General Letitia James, and Mayor Eric Adams, and other dignitaries.

“They say St. Patrick’s Day is either the last day of winter or the first day of spring and its sort of that bridge, and I think that we got that first day of Spring,” Cardinal Dolan said smiling.
